Mobile viruses.

Except computer viruses there are also viruses that penetrate to cellar phones. Actually cellar phones' viruses have a lot in common with computer viruses; they actually have the same names and functions as computer viruses. The main types of cellar phones' viruses are Trojan programs and worm viruses. Trojans penetrate into cellar phones' operating system or memory and may perform no activity until you launch it by running a certain program. On the other hand Trojans may erase certain information or theft it from your cellar phone; in two words cellar phones' Trojans act just like computers'.
With the development of scientific-technical progress Smartphone were created; those are cellars that operates on the base of Symbian, Linux or WindiwsMobile operating system. If there's an operating system sure there should be a virus to penetrate and damage it. As so, virus-makers created a number of cellar phone viruses with different functions and aims. The most known of them are CommonWarior, Duts, Mabir, Drever, Doomboot. Those are viruses of different kinds and types, but they have one feature in common – they infect cellar phone operating system. CommonWarior is a great danger for Symbian Series 60 Smartphone. This virus spreads by means of Bluetooth or MMS, as it penetrates your cellar phone it makes a request for installation disguising as harmless software. CommonWarior is able to infect all of the cellar phones that are reachable via Bluetooth, it has an ability of self transferring, so you may receive request for CommonWarior installation without downloading it. MMS spreading of CommonWarior consist in sending infected MMS to every contact from telephone book, as a result you have an infected cellar phone and zero total asset.
Another virus able to spreading by means of MMS is Mabir. Mabir is a variety of Cabir worm virus. The difference between CommonWarior and Mabir spreading consist in fact that CommonWarior for MMS sending chose every single contact from telephone book but Mabir sends MMS only in response to received SMS or MMS. So if some of your friends 'caught' Mabir you may receive a message with virus file. If you have received MMS or SMS that requests installation of 'caribe' you'd better chose 'NO'.
Cabir virus was created to penetrate the Symbian OS. Cabir is able to penetrate your cellar phone only by means of Bluetooth. Right after penetration Cabir starts its activity it scans Bluetooth airwaves of cellar phone in order to find new contacts for penetrating. The damage caused by Cabir is not that great. The only possible function for Cabir is duplicating and, off course, discharging of battery because of permanent use of Bluetooth connection. As soon as Caribe finds new Bluetooth contact it requests for sending a file, once you receive this file you see message on your display 'Install Caribe?" and if you chose 'YES' worm installs itself.
